Providing practical hands to community charity – Sunrise Way

V2R Projects provides practical support where possible to community charities such as Sunrise Way – where possible.

Our team member Bruce spent the better part of a week while in the area whipping up a cupboard for the staff area and installing cupboards within some of the accommodation bedrooms.

Sunrise Way is a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation service based in Toowoomba. Guided by the values of dignity, mutual respect, and personal responsibility, Toowoomba’s Sunrise Way facilitates a 24 week abstinence based drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation program that enables people to recover, and develop knowledge, skills and strategies to avoid relapse. Working collaboratively with other community organisations to build a social value chain, Sunrise Way provides a staged progression back into the community. For up to 6 months it is a safe space to continue to recover, while learning life skills, volunteering, accessing study, work experience and building community connections.

Today’s huge shout out is to the generous folk at V2R Projects Pty Ltd. Their talented chippie Bruce was at a loose end…
