SCOPE OF WORK

The scope included the following: Vermin proofing (birdproof mesh & rubber gate seals), new ceiling lining with insulation, new lighting, new switchboards, roof inspections, new structural steel (to replace corroded), and new pallet racking shelving.

INNOVATION

When inspecting the existing purlins for each bay it was confirmed that there was significant surface corrosion on parts of the girts. In order to ensure that the structure would meet & exceed its design life the decision was made to strip back any affected areas and use a rust inhibiting coating followed by a coat of zinc rich paint. Where Corrosion was structural those elements were replaced. The Electrical Reticulation in several bays was found to be illegal and deemed unsafe. V2R isolated the bays and awaited instruction from defence.
