SCOPE OF WORK
V2R Projects was engaged to complete roofing and awning works at the EQL Depot in Mount Isa. The project was delivered in three stages to minimize disruption and ensure a safe working environment.
Stage 1 | Driveway Connection Canopy - The project began with the removal and replacement of the canopy roof. Safety mesh was installed, and new roof sheets and flashings were fitted. AC units on the lower roof were removed in preparation for the next stage.
Stage 2 | Workshop Building and Awnings - This stage involved removing and replacing the workshop’s roof sheets, eaves, and fascia. Due to the need for a temporary disconnection of the main Ergon power line, V2R scheduled the works over a weekend shutdown to reduce disruption.
Stage 3 | Office Building - To facilitate office roofing works, V2R provided a temporary demountable workspace for EQL staff. The scope included removing and replacing AC systems, adjusting roof framing for a new gutter, and replacing and painting eaves and fascia. The roof was replaced in sections to protect the building from weather exposure.
INNOVATION
Through careful planning and staged execution, V2R successfully delivered a safe and efficient upgrade to the EQL Depot facilities.
